This Somerset Festival Vibe Wedding at Pennard Hill Farm boasts one of the best ceremony backdrops you could ask for. I’m incredibly lucky to live within an hour of the Somerset countryside and impressive wedding venues like this.
Ellen and her Royal Marine husband, James, poured their heart and soul into their Pennard Hill Farm wedding- perhaps helped by James’s military precision and Ellen’s eye for detail!
Their outdoor ceremony overlooked the Somerset hills, with the iconic Glastonbury Festival site visible in the distance. Followed by the giant tipi reception, creating a proper festival-vibe party atmosphere, with Pennard Hill Kitchen’s food that makes it hard not to pick up the camera.
From a photographer’s perspective, Pennard Hill Farm gives you everything – panoramic views for golden hour portraits, a lively dancefloor space and opportunities to create cinematic images.
A personal highlight was photographing James’s classic MG convertible against the Somerset landscape. Capturing that timeless shot of them driving off into the distance as husband and wife felt like the perfect way to round off the couples shoot.
